Patient 12 Info
A 67 year old white female who had undergone a breast augmentation 30+ years earlier. She had developed a capsular contracture that produced a visible deformity in both breasts (Baker IV classification). The breasts felt as hard as rocks. The treatment was total removal of the (heavily calcified) capsules and implant exchange. Individuals with breast implants should be examined by a plastic surgeon on an annual basis. |
