A 33 year old single white female who desired a breast augmentation for purely cosmetic reasons. The operation was carried out via a sub-mammary incision. The patient had a depressed sternum causing the implants to lie near to each other and favor 'cleavage.' When the sternum is prominent the opposite can occur. With time the breasts would be expected to droop and produce a sub-mammary fold.
