Silhouette InstaLift™ is a comfortable, office treatment that typically lasts 45 minutes. The surgeon gently inserts a needle into the treatment area and guides it through the subcutaneous tissue. Sutures with bidirectional cones are used to elevate the skin of the mid face and cheeks. The subdermal tissue is repositioned on the bidirectional cones, which hold the skin in an elevated position. The biomedical copolymer of Silhouette InstaLift™ mechanically fixates the tissue until the sutures are reabsorbed and collagen production increases. At this point, the patient’s own tissues assume the responsibility of holding the skin in a more youthful position. The procedure has immediately noticeable, natural-looking results that improve over the following three months as more collagen is produced.
