Abdominoplasties are sometimes combined with other procedures: for example breast augmentation in a ‘Mommy Makeover.’
In this 35 year old white female, abdominoplasty was combined with liposuction of the back. She had fatty accumulations in the abdomen and back as well as loose skin, a skin overhang (pannus) and diastasis (separation) of the rectus muscles. All were corrected under the same anesthetic and the patient went home the same day.
