About 10% of facelifts are carried out in males. The usual complaint is of loose folds in the neck interfering with shaving and getting hung up on the collar. Most of the effort is therefore put into the neck – often with the addition of an anterior submental (under the chin) incision. There are many small technical details in which male facelifts differ from those carried out in women.
