Patients often request a ‘mini facelift’ with the expectation that they will get the same result with half the cost and a more rapid recovery than with a full facelift. Not so! A MACS lift is a more limited facelift that may be appropriate in the younger patient where there are less sequelae of aging and where less skin needs to be removed. The skin incision is much shorter and, yes, the recovery is more rapid. However, it is not suitable for the majority of cases.
