Description:
A 46 year old black female who did not like the excessive flaring of her nostrils or the lack of projection of the nose as a whole. She did not want a Caucasian nose, but rather an attractive black one.
She had an open rhinoplasty with cartilage grafting to increase profile projection, and an excisional reduction in nostril diameter. A non-absorbable synching suture was placed under the floor of the nose to draw in the flare.
