Abdominoplasty 18

This is a 50 year old white female bothered by her overhanging pannus (skin fold). A routine abdominoplasty removed the excessive skin and fat while maintaining the umbilicus (belly-button) in its original position. This was done by bringing it out through an incision in the skin that was stretched downwards following removal of that below the umbilicus. The rectus muscles were also tightened. The resulting scar in concealed by the patient’s underwear.
